One step forward 2 steps back!!!

Pulled the A/C system, I may regret this someday but I can always put it back in. Looks to need some work anyhow.
I was just planning on pulling the pedal box to do freshen it up and take care of a little surface rust when I ran into this. I pulled up the carpet before but I must have just been looking at the top of the tar because I saw no rust. So I pulled all the carpet out and padding and will now take on the massive task of removing all the tar, killing all the rust and laying down a nice thick coat of Por-15.
I took out the plug to check the thickness of the metal and luckily there are no holes and there is enough metal to work with that I should not need to replace the floor (on the drivers side at least).

Another pic of the A/C removed and the Cancer, luckily its not malignant.
I am trying very hard to put on a smile for the camera but its kind of hard right now.

1 Month Update

So I have had the car for about a month now and have been collecting parts and working on a few small projects.

Some E24 Rear seats that I will need to Dye black for now, but will probably end up recovering when I re-upholster the front seats.
Also notice the BMP Design rear spoiler painted to match and ready for install.

A pair of Corbeau Sports that are lightly used, the bottoms have already been redone, and the backs are in great shape minus the one hole in the vinyl.

Got a good deal on 2 engines complete from radiator to transmission. I used some parts from each to make a good runner. I will probably use the extra engine to build up a fresh stroker out of. But don't expect to see that any time soon.
Completed the E30 trunk mount battery conversion. Here is the cable coming through the firewall to the power distribution block. I am still not sure where to mount it.
Swapped out the stock 2002 fuel level sender for one out of a 1991 318is with the fuel level sender and high pressure fuel injection pump all in one.

Project Found, Acquired and Delivered

Found this beauty on Craigslist while I was looking for a 2002 for some track duty. This one is a little too nice to put on the track but I will probably still do some light Auto-X with it when its done.

Came back a little later in the week to pick her up.

A drama free tow that ended with a very slow back-up into my very narrow driveway.
